The 8237-1600 is a Woodward ProTech-GII (Generation II) safety system designed for high-speed overspeed protection of steam, gas, and hydro turbines. This Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) device monitors turbine shaft speed and initiates a safety trip through its dedicated relay outputs if an overspeed or rate-of-acceleration limit is exceeded.
