Description
136188-02 Embedded PC Host
136188-02 Measurement nodes transmit each sample back to the gateway, and the maximum sample rate of an unprogrammed node is limited by the time it takes to transmit each sample to the gateway. Programming the nodes with LabVIEW WSN Pioneer improves analogue and digital sampling performance, avoiding the extra overhead due to transmitting each sample by batching them. Using floating-point maths and analytics, you can process the acquired data to extract and transmit the required information to the gateway.
136188-02 LabVIEW WSN Pioneer enables embedded decision making on NI WSN measurement nodes, where decisions are made automatically instead of transmitting excitation and response through a host PC or embedded controller. You can use the digital output lines on the NI WSN measurement node to drive relays for simple on/off control. For example, the decision to activate a fan when the temperature exceeds a threshold can be embedded in the node, eliminating the need to interact with the host computer, thus eliminating response time and improving reliability.
The main signals measured and monitored in the 136188-02’s environment and equipment monitoring project include AC or DC current, voltage, power; temperature; flooding; access control; video signals; and the operating conditions of various indoor equipment, including air conditioners, generators, UPS power supplies, and battery packs, etc. These signals are monitored in unattended conditions, and will be alarmed and dealt with accordingly in the event of a malfunction. Alarms will be generated and processed accordingly.
