2302-32-VLE-2 Protocol Converter

The 2302-32-VLE-2’s automatically control and monitor environmental factors such as temperature, humidity and air quality to ensure optimal conditions for manufacturing and staff. Additionally, by ensuring efficient control of amenities such as HVAC and lighting systems, plant owners can save significant amounts of energy and handle emergencies in a safe manner. However, when system integrators plan for factory-to-building integration, they are often faced with heterogeneous and challenging communication scenarios.BACnet is often the protocol used in building management systems (BMS) to control facilities within a building, while PROFINET is one of the most commonly used factory networks for controlling manufacturing processes.

The 2302-32-VLE-2 provides connectivity solutions to link different automation products. proSoft Technology’s offerings include three main product families: Rockwell Automation’s protocol and network connectivity modules, known as inRAx, and Schneider Electric’s ProTalk; standalone gateways, protocol converters and wireless gateways (known as ProLinx); and industrial serial and Ethernet wireless modules (known as RadioLinx). Over the past 16 years, ProSoft Technology’s product line has grown to more than 400 communication modules supporting more than 60 different protocols.

The 2302-32-VLE-2’s frequency hopping (FHSS) radio creates robust serial and/or Ethernet links for the most demanding RF environments, as well as applications that require extremely high levels of safety and reliability.
The “Industrial Hotspot” supports applications requiring Wi-Fi connectivity (PC, PDA ……) and/or high data throughput.
Wireless gateways provide robust connectivity for field-level protocols such as high-speed PROFIBUS, HART ……
