ABB LDGRB-01 3BSE013177R1 provides extensive enhancements for licence holders’ security, performance and language requirements. With its release, the company has strengthened Planet’s ability to support the diagnostic and optimisation needs of single-site, multi-site and enterprise process manufacturers globally.At the heart of the Autumn 2017 release is the transition of Planet to the front-end in accordance with the HTML5 standard. With this transition planned, users now have access to enhanced application security. As an optional form of secure use of Windows Active Directory, each user’s login credentials are authenticated before authorising the exchange of information across the network. This capability gives IT administrators greater control over the planning process and aligns the platform with other approved applications. Improved security is considered critical for the new release, as protecting user credentials and access to facility process data remains a major concern for process manufacturers worldwide.

With the transition to HTML5, ABB LDGRB-01 3BSE013177R1 also gains a common interface for accessing and processing data from many different data sources in a typical manufacturing facility. Tests of the new version have shown that processing speeds are up to five times faster than previous versions of Plantronics. Increased processing speed is particularly important for implementations in large process facilities operating 1000’s of 530 control cycles. The transition to HTMLL5 also supports cross-platform mobile applications, such as rugged tablets, which are increasingly being used by process manufacturers to evaluate performance from the plant floor.Other notable enhancements in the autumn 2017 release are the multi-language support of Plantronics. The redesigned platform easily accommodates a user’s native language and now supports several of the world’s best-known languages. In particular, the platform now supports English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish, as well as additional languages slated for early 2018.

The support for multiple languages is particularly beneficial to Plantesp’s growing multinational and corporate customer base. To date, the platform has been deployed in production facilities on five continents. Plantesp proactively monitors the performance of the 530 control loop and proactively identifies issues that negatively impact production performance, including mechanical issues, loop interactions and poor 530 controller tuning. In addition to traditional process optimisation capabilities, it is also noted for its support of condition-based maintenance.
