The BENTLY 3500/15 has been designed to meet the American Petroleum Institute standard API 670, the most widely used specification for mechanical protection systems in the world. For reciprocating compressor applications, the Series 3500 also meets API 618. The system can be ordered with DNV and Class NK certificates for offshore applications such as offshore platforms and ship propulsion applications. Furthermore, when used as a component of a safety instrumented system, it can be supplied with a TUV functional safety certificate for applications requiring up to full integrity level (SIL) 3. In addition, the BENTLY 3500/15 has been certified to meet the relevant Canadian Standards Association (CSA), Factory Mutual (FM), GOST, ATEX and CE requirements.

Connecting the BENTLY 3500/15 to condition monitoring and diagnostic software has never been easier. With the BENTLY 3500/15, there is no need for bulky external modules, no additional wiring, and no additional rack slots. Communication with the software is possible using only the Ethernet interface on the BENTLY 3500/15 rack interface module and a network cable. The connection to factory control and automation systems is equally straightforward. All that is required is the addition of a communication gateway module. Multiple gateways can even be added when there is a requirement to provide communication redundancy or when multiple systems with different communication protocols must be supported.

The BENTLY 3500/15 also features the industry’s widest range of selectable device measurement parameters, which, when combined with software configuration, provide virtually all monitoring options. A wide range of locally or remotely mounted monitors can also be supplied, or the BENTLY 3500/15 can be operated without a monitor, resulting in unrivalled flexibility for virtually any application.
