Nuventix, a developer of energy-saving lighting LED cooling technology, announced that General Electric, along with other investors, has injected funds into it and recently signed a license agreement with it to use Nuventix’s extensive patent portfolio.
General Electric’s subsidiary, General Electric Energy Financial Services and Bergquist Company, together with Nuventix’s existing investors, Braemar Energy Ventures, CenterPoint Ventures, InterWest Partners, and Rho Ventures, have completed a new round of investments totaling $10 million to fund Nuventix’s global expansion and technology development. General Electric’s investment is part of its’ Green Vision ‘program, which aims to accelerate the deployment of innovative technologies through open collaboration and financial support. The licensing agreement between General Electric Lighting and Nuventix complements General Electric’s efforts to develop reliable and long-lasting LED products and systems. Scientists and product developers at General Electric Lighting view Nuventix SynJet technology as a driving force for the wider and faster promotion of LED modules.
