There are two situations: 1 Constant magnetic flux variable frequency speed regulation below the fundamental frequency is considered for downward speed regulation from the fundamental frequency (rated frequency of the motor). In order to maintain the main magnetic flux of the air gap of the motor unchanged, it is required to reduce the power supply frequency while reducing the induced electromotive force, maintaining E1/f1=constant, that is, to maintain the ratio of electromotive force to frequency as a constant for control. This control is also known as constant flux variable frequency speed regulation, and belongs to the constant torque speed regulation method one. However, E1 is difficult to detect and control directly. When the values of E1 and f1 are high, the leakage resistance and compression resistance of the stator are relatively small. If ignored, the ratio of stator phase voltage U1 to frequency f1 can be approximately kept constant, which means that U1=E1 and U1/f1=constant. But when the frequency is low, both U1 and E1 become smaller, and the stator leakage resistance pressure drop (mainly the stator resistance pressure drop) cannot be ignored anymore. In this case, the stator voltage can be artificially increased to compensate for the influence of stator resistance voltage drop, while the upper air gap flux remains basically unchanged. As shown in Figure 1, 1 represents the voltage and frequency relationship when U1/f1=C, and 2 represents the voltage and frequency relationship with voltage compensation (approximately E1/f1=C). This is the constant voltage frequency ratio control method, which is an approximate constant magnetic flux control. 2. For weak magnetic variable frequency speed regulation above the fundamental frequency, it is considered to adjust the speed upwards from the fundamental frequency. The frequency gradually increases from the rated value, but the voltage U1 cannot increase further due to the limitation of the rated voltage. It can only maintain the rated value unchanged, which will inevitably cause the main magnetic flux to decrease with the increase of f1. This is equivalent to the case of weak magnetic field speed regulation in a DC motor, and belongs to an approximate constant power speed regulation method. See Figure 1.
