Description

IS220PDIAH1B Communication Stepper Motors

The IS220PDIAH1B reduces costs and prevents electrical noise, many control and communication functions have been integrated with the motor in an enclosure designed to provide IP42, IP55 or IP65 protection and eliminates the need to run control and communication cables. Different PCBs (modules) can be mounted within the enclosure to create automation/motion control systems that can be easily incorporated into new and existing applications.

Among the many features that can be integrated into the IS220PDIAH1B are: pulse/directional actuators, serial RS485 position controllers with simple graphical programming, point-to-point or multi-axis operation of up to 255 axes on the same RS485 bus, CANOpen DS-301 and DSP-402, an optional absolute single-turn magnetic controller, and an optional absolute single-turn magnetic controller. Optional absolute singleturn magnetic encoder with resolutions up to 1024 pulses/revolution for stall detection, 8 I/Os configurable as inputs, outputs or 10-bit analogue inputs, electronic gear ratios for following the encoder or pulse train in any optional control, high-speed position capture.

The IS220PDIAH1B series stepper motors follow the same protocol as the MAC motors, so MAC motors and QuickStep motors can be connected to the same RS485 bus and can be powered with dual voltages to maintain position and parameters during emergency stops. They also have the following features: fixed at 1600 pulses/revolution for versions with built-in position controller; and fixed at 200, 400, 800, 1000 or 1600 pulses/revolution for versions with pulse/direction inputs.
