The EMDR Redundant Link Fibre Optic Module converts single buses and redundant dual buses to each other. Both single-cable buses can be converted to redundant Profibus DP buses, EMDR can also convert redundant Profibus DP buses to single-cable buses, RLm01 fibre-optic module dip switches to set the rate or the rate of adaptive optional. It supports 10 common rates of Profibus DP bus.

EMDR fibre optic module can be placed directly after the Profibus DP master, the single-cable bus will be converted to redundant bus; EMDR can also be placed in the slave will be converted to redundant bus non-redundant cable, at the same time, with optocoupler isolation, to reduce interference and other properties.
