The practicality of the application has been improved, while controller redundancy and redundant controllers are placed in the same backplane. Redundant controllers operate in parallel and check their status multiple times throughout the entire operating cycle, enabling the backup controller to continuously monitor the status of the main controller, ensuring rapid and undisturbed switching when necessary. Redundant controllers can also perform firmware upgrades online. Network redundancy helps to ensure stable and consistent communication. This controller has two high-speed Ethernet ports and uses fault-tolerant Ethernet redundant communication. Each port can be connected to an independent local area network and its integrity is continuously monitored. If the main port detects a network fault, the traffic will be switched to another local area network to maintain smooth communication.
The engineering tools included in PAC8000 WorkBench can provide a comprehensive project development environment with modules, tools, and a complete set of diagnostic tools. This development environment focuses on the configuration of project engineering, including I/O (instrument index) and control strategies. Provide a comprehensive functional structure diagram library positioned towards advanced process control requirements. It also supports all IEC 61131-3 programming languages (Ladder logic diagram, structured text, instruction list, sequential function diagram and functional structure diagram), plus flow chart support.
The release of the PAC8000 controller provides more functionality and flexibility to the existing innovative process solutions on the GE intelligent platform, and provides a powerful DCS system for the process industry.
